Ayurveda & Food Combining Synergy

I became interested in synergy of foods and proper combinations that help digestion and absorption of nutrients instead of creating toxicity, fermentation and stagnation. Moreover, my goal is 1 meal a day. It makes sense to eat less because a lot of anti-parasitic/detox solutions work best on an empty stomach like for example fulvic minerals/zeolite, black seed oil, myrrh, etc. (Everyone is infected in one way or another from pets, vaccines & contaminated water/poorly washed foods are the main reasons. I bet everyone drank tap water, ate sushi, lived with pets, ate at restaurants where you don’t know how well they washed those greens in your salad, swam in lakes or rivers, walked barefoot where dogs play, etc..

It is best to avoid complicated food mixes. Many people are actually scared away from preparing food, saying, “I can’t cook,” because of all these intricate recipes. When in reality food preparation should not be so complex and should actually be very simple. I keep learning about proper food combining and food synergy and over and over I learn that it is best not to mix too many ingedients. For example fruit and dairy is a poor combo and hard for body to digest… yet the majority is constantly combining things they should not. If health and longevity is what one desires for their body, it is best to keep it simple and learn what the body truly needs vs what the emotions, patterns, or parasites crave.

After listening to several audio books on Ayurveda I learned a few beneficial practices. Majority of information that is available these days is misinterpreted, so although it is beneficial to learn, it’s important to be discerning and always check in with the inner wisdom. To access the actual inner wisdom vs. craving or programmed patterns, may take some tedious work. Many times we let our trauma dictate our impulses, so we must figure out how to transmute trauma energy into something beneficial and healing that results in wisdom and courage. We accumulate a lot of trauma from our childhood, ancestors which is passed on with DNA, and our past lives. Trauma doesn’t have to be some extreme dramatic situation, it can be something as common as an older sibling bulling or a parent forcing a child to sit on a strange man’s lap dressed like Santa Claus at the mall. This can be enough for a small child to create negative assumptions about self, others, and the world and hold on to it for a long time. Since we are living in the dark ages at the moment, pretty much everyone is traumatized to a certain degree. Our job in this life is to un-traumatize ourselves and to strive for a constant state of contentment, non judgement, equanimity, and calm, despite the situation or circumstance. One way we can start our healing journey of consciousness, is to heal the body. A big part of our health depends on our digestion. In order to sustain the physical form in this day and age we need to consume water, vitamins, and minerals. Natural sunshine is vital. 30 minutes to 1 hour of sunshine daily on full body with no sunscreen is necessary. Obviously avoid sunscreen all together and wear loose linen clothing and hats for protection when necessary. Engage with the sunshine wisely by spending time outdoors in the morning and evening or under a tree’s shade.

It is important to combine foods properly. For example, eat fruit separately at least 45 minutes before a meal. It is also best to eat fruit in the morning or earlier in the day on it’s own. Citrus fruits should not be combined with sweet fruits. Do not combine fruits with nuts, grains, dairy, etc. It takes time and self discipline. Most of us have been programmed to eat fruit with dairy. Balance is not about eating junk food one day and then fasting another day, that is just swinging from one extreme to another. True balance is a constant state of contentment, no cravings, and perfect health. Another great tip is to take a short walk after each meal. It is not a good idea to stay stagnant or sleep right after a meal. If weather conditions do not allow for a walk, then do some household chores like washing dishes. Some other tips include:

Daily body massage with oil. Mix olive oil with essential oils, or use it on its own. Jojoba oil is wonderful on its own or as a carrier oil. Sesame seed oil is also very healing. After a shower, moisturize and massage the face and body. LivingLibations.com has great products.

Neti pot to cleanse nasal passages. Use it during hot and humid times some sources say to avoid using neti pot when it is dry and cold. Always use clean filtered water.

Take herbal supplements, for example: long pepper, ashwagandha, triphala, neem powder, etc.

Do research and spend time in quietude and meditation to find out what you truly need to heal.

Although you can’t fully trust what the internet says, it does contain knowledge. It is just important to always check in with your inner guidance/intuition after you read or learn something. And use several unrelated sources to confirm that the information is indeed valid. Below is some information I searched:

This beverage may not be fully in accordance with Ayurvedic recommendations, but I thought I’d still share. Even if it’s not the most perfect combination, it is still a stepping stone for beginners who are trying to shift their diet to a more nutricious one sans artificial ingredients. Beverage Recipe: 1 teaspoon of turkey tail mushroom powder, 1 teaspoon of cacao powder, 1 teaspoon of molasses, and hot water. It actually tastes like coffee (at least for me), which I really like the flavor of but not how coffee makes me feel. It’s fun to find alternatives that are health promoting and don’t cause strange energy fluctuations.

Photo of these instructions was taken at a farmers market in Los Angeles.

“When it comes to intermittent fasting one is to know however how and when to get established in it.. When one is free from parasites, eating once a day is more than sufficient, because all the nutrients are absorbed properly, one is blissful, cheerful, full of energy and yet is deeply relaxed. For the majority of healing people, eating within a 4-6 h window will be extremely easy, and perhaps, even unnecessary to have multiple meals. It all varies from person to person, their conscious level, the stage of the lunar cycle, social interaction and energy consumption as well as the depth of their sleep/meditation.

Alcaline water with the pH above 8 and salt/mineral contents, sun exposure and having specific antifungal and antiparasitic solutions us much more important than complex diets. Our body doesn’t require much food yet it depends on social factors and labour and biochemical parameters. People eat the way they do because of parasitic infections and long-term inflammation, as well as various forms of trauma and addictions.

Chlorophyll rich foods are important as well as simple and natural foods, eating once a day is optimal from my standpoint especially if one doesn’t waste emotional energy. Eating is emotional rather than physical as well as addictive.

I would not go for beef or pork. It all also depends on the climate and naturally available foods, in southern regions where the exposure to sun is more, fruit and salty alcaline water are more important. Healthy fats can be useful from time to time. The ideal would be to get rid of this emotional and biochemical addiction completely, yet it requires effort, and psychosomatic healing of trauma… and ancestral distortions.” – Jivanmukti
